Imagine this with me: what if you were guaranteed to have a better, easier time in all areas of life- relationships, career, fitness, mental health- if you never say a list of like, 20 words. Say some of them are really useful or common words, like “very” or “flower”. But if you can commit to not saying these words, every aspect of life improves at least a little. Would you do it?
You could look at it with a limited, scarce mindset- “Well, who are you to tell me I can’t say those words?” “How am I supposed to get by without the use of ‘very’ or ‘flower’?”
Or you could see that the small limitation is worth the benefit it brings. You could look at the abundance of words you still are able to use- “really”, “extremely”, “quite”, “petal”, “bloom”.

Now, replace the idea of a list of words with that of eliminating toxins from your diet and lifestyle.
People can get really triggered by hearing about “toxins” these days. But try to stay with me. If someone sees cutting out toxins as overly-limiting, that’s the same scarcity mindset as in the example. “Let me live my life and eat what I want to eat and burn my scented candles!” But the opposite mindset is freedom. The limitations are worth the benefit they bring. Eliminating common toxins from your food and products makes it easier to have better mental health, to be fit and healthy, to have energy and focus and motivation.
It’s pretty hard in our modern day to be generally healthy, happy, fit, and focused. The toxic overload on our bodies is too much. Our bodies are doing all they can to constantly detox, and it’s hard work.
And avoiding toxins is hard work too, so the resistance to avoiding toxins is understandable. It’s also true that there can be a lot of fear around the topic of toxins, which can be as unhealthy as the toxins themselves.
But having a healthy mindset- ready to take on the challenge of avoiding certain things and embracing the freedom of all the things you can have plus the benefits that come from living without such a burden on your body is totally worth it and possible!
I’ll be writing some simple guides to avoiding common toxins soon- stay tuned!
